On the other hand, if you only have the gear to sprint across coruption/crimson and jungle or to scale the dungeon entrance, then spending time fishing at the ocean is both quicker and easier than getting geared up for hell.
A Hellavator for sure would be dug faster with a Nightmare Pickaxe, but harvesting a Meteor or Hellstone is by far easier with a Molten. Well, it''s faster when you''re digging up the first layer, but then it''s mostly stone when you get into either the underground or deep underground.
